The University of Bath is a campus university located in Bath, United Kingdom.
According to 2013 National Student Survey (NSS) the University of Bath was ranked 1st for student satisfaction out of more than 150 UK higher education institutions. In The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2014 the University was awarded the title of "Best Campus University in Britain". Bath was awarded the title of ‘University of the Year 2011/12
Exchange and visiting students
Exchange and visiting students are students who study with us for one semester or one academic year without taking a qualification here.
Exchange students
People can apply to be an exchange student if they have an exchange relationship with their institution in the appropriate subject area and the institution nominates them to take part.
The University of Mechanical and electrical engineering FIME ask to their students the following requirements:
· Have an average at least of 85.
· Have knowlegde of the spoken language
· Be between the fifth to ninth semester.
FIME doesn´t have an agreement with this university, Bath University only have agreement in México at the University of Guadalajara.
Exchange Students continue to pay tuition fees to their home institution but do not pay tuition fees here.
Bath University have exchange agreements with partner institutions in Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, Hong Kong, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, the United States of America, Uruguay and Japan.
Visiting students
Students from any university outside the United Kingdom may apply as a full-time fee-paying visiting student to study units from a single undergraduate degree programme in some subject areas.
We regret that we cannot accept applications for visiting students for certain subjects:
o Architecture
o Politics, Languages and International Studies
o Social and Policy Sciences
o School of Management programmes
We can only accept applications for Mechanical Engineering in exceptional circumstances.
Applications for multiple subject areas cannot be accepted.
The level of the tuition fee will depend upon nationality, domicile and subject of study as well as length of stay.
English language
All of their programmes are taught in English. You will need to show that you have a satisfactory level of spoken and written English before you come here.
They offer both pre-sessional and in-sessional courses for improving English language skills.
How to apply
Applicants for the Bath´s University programmes will be expected to meet the high academic standards required of their full-degree entrants.
In some courses there may be specific entrance requirements, for example a knowledge of a particular area of mathematics or engineering.
The requirements to Apply:
· Must fill an application form by computer and send it by E-mail or post, also supporting documents.
· All courses are taught in English and all non-native speakers are required to demonstrate that they have an appropriate level of spoken and written English for full academic and social participation.The recommended level for visiting and exchange students is Level C1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). If you do not have an IELTS or Cambridge test result, you will need to include a formal letter from your university stating the CEFR level which you have achieved.
· A Tier 4 (General) Student Visa and must also satisfy the Home Office’s immigration requirements.
· A proposed study programme.
· Criminal Convictions. Please read our policy on applicants with criminal convictions.
Fees and funding
Visiting students are required to pay tuition fees. The level of fees changes from year to year and depends upon your nationality, domicile, subject of study and length of stay.

o the School of Management does not have a fee listed because the School cannot accept visiting students.
