Australia
Australia is a multicultural country, has been
influenced by Europe and the US recently but remains true to its culture. Much
respect their indigenous heritage. The mixture of traditions translates into
different ways of life and food.
Christmas
in Australia:
In Australia this day is celebrated in summer, with
temperatures reaching 38 degrees Celsius.
In Melbourne, since 1937, an event called "Carols
by Candlelight" is celebrated. People gather and sing carols on Christmas
Eve.
Santa Claus in Australia is called Swag Man, in the
antipodes, children are visited by this character, who has a blue shirt and
shorts.
Typical
food:
They are famous pastries and meats accompanied by
vegetables. The typical dish is meat loaf. Another famous delicacies of the
country is Cabanossi, which is similar to salami.
It is customary to eat meat from exotic animals like the
kangaroo and buffalo.
New
Year:
For New Year in Sydney at 24:00 fireworks are launched,
in a very nice and seen by people around the world on television show.
